This could spell doom for fans of one popular video game franchise slated for a big release very soon. Sorry DOOM fans. We have a great relationship with them through bringing Doom to Switch. Rumors about the DOOM protagonist coming to Smash Ultimate date back to Decemberbut based on Stratton's comments, it seems like that was all a pipe dream. Nintendo confirmed that the second major DLC series will add six more fighters to the game starting sometime in the first half of and ending in December Sadly, all of them seem less legit by the day.
For those that are not confirmed yet — such as Doomguy — the Fighter Pass 2 schedule means the earliest we could see characters like this added to Smash Bros. Ultimate would be the first quarter of at the absolute earliest. Super Smash Bros. Danny Paez and Corey Plante. It's looking bleak, DOOM fans. Related Tags Video Games. The first five alleged Smash Bros.
Another Zelda character? Sure, why not? Ok, we guess. Another Fire Emblem fighter? Fine, if we really have to. Fighter Pack 2 reads like a video game fantasy, though it might not be that unbelievable. Geno and Steve are both frequently leaked characters, but Sora and Crash Bandicoot?
Just one of those heroes come to Smash would be enough to break the internet, let alone both. Finally, the alleged Nintendo leaker claims his source already played with Impa from the Zelda series, noting that the new character plays similarly to Sheik also from Zelda with some heavier sword attacks comparable to Ike and a Marth-style recovery.

Maybe Dixie Kong, who also rocks a ponytail. Maybe Cranky Kong? Then again, considering that this character is allegedly getting announced at EVO a yearly fighting game tournamentit makes sense that it could be a character from another fighting game series. Like, say, Heihachi, the patriarch villain from the Tekken series. Specifically, it might be Decidueye, the archer-inspired final evolution of grass-type starter Rowlet.
Finally, the leaker hints at four more additions coming to the Super Smash Bros.Sakurai's WORKING On ULTIMATE From HOME + CRAZY 6 Fighter RUMOR - LEAK SPEAK!
At least in the meantime we have a couple of Smash-focused Nintendo Direct presentations to look forward to — assuming this leak turns out to be true, of course. Jake Kleinman. Super Smash Bros. A new Super Smash Bros. The origins of the rumor are a bit sketchy, however, its claim has since been collaborated, suggesting there's something to it.
The report comes way of Marcus Sellars, who claims that Bigby Wolf will be coming to the game as one of the Fighter Pass Volume 2 fighters. That said, this claim is suspicious for a few reasons. For one, Bigby Wolf is simply an odd choice. The Wolf Among Us certainly has its fans, but it's not even Telltale's biggest series.
Meanwhile, the game never even came to a Nintendo platform. The bigger reason this claim is dubious though is it conflicts with previous, official information about the game. In the past, Masahiro Sakurai, the game's creative director, confirmed that any character that doesn't originate from a video game will not be added to the series.
Before Bigby Wolf was a video game character, he was a comic series character. More specifically, the protagonist of the Fables series. All of this is to say, take this rumor with a major grain of salt. Even if Bigby Wolf qualified under Sakurai's guidelines, he would be a very odd addition. Super Smash Bros. According to a well-known Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leaker, the game's next DLC character probably won't be the two heavily rumored characters that leaks, rumors, and reports have been throwing around lately. More specifically, recently industry insider Sabi tweeted out saying -- based off what they've heard -- the game's next DLC character will not be Crash Bandicoot or Ryu Hayabusa from N inja Gaidenthe latter of which has particular been leaking a lot the past couple of months.
Sabi notes that they aren't percent confident the characters aren't hitting next, but are "very unlikely" to hit as the game's 5th DLC character based off some "private developments. Of course, any leak, report, or rumor like this should be taken with a grain of salt, especially when the source expresses a slither of doubt themselves.
That said, Sabi is one of the industry's most trusted sources, especially when it comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Nintendo scoops.
In other words, this isn't a random leak or aimless speculation from a Reddit user or a 4chan poster. I am not leaning towards ryu hayabusa or crash for fighter pass 5. As you may know, while there haven't been a ton of noteworthy claims of Crash Bandicoot coming to the game, there have been a few relatively reliable leakers saying Ryu Hayabusa is coming to the platform fighter, with someone even suggesting the Ninja Gaiden protagonist is next.
In other words, this new report from Sabi does conflict with some previous reports about the game's next DLC character. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for Nintendo Switch. In the lead up to Smash Bros. One fan-favorite request continues to be Sora from the Kingdom Hearts seriesbut could the Disney-owned character actually make it into Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC? Beyond pure fan speculation, the possibility of Sora in Smash Bros. Ultimate stems from the all but confirmed rumor that a Square Enix character will appear in the new game.
So why not try again? The question, then, is which Square Enix character will join Smash this time. The leak comes from 4chan, so definitely treat it with a grain of salt, especially since the source claims to be a Nintendo product tester who hates their job and decided to get revenge.
Ok, so Joker is already confirmed. Erdrick also seems like a strong possibility, and Steve from Minecraft is a popular leak as well. Sora, however, is the biggest surprise. Unfortunately, a scan of the latest updates from more trustworthy Smash Bros. So is it even possible? However, he added that both Square Enix and Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura have direct input over how the character gets used.
Smash Bros Ultimate: Fighters Pass 5 DLC character LEAK ahead of The Game Awards 2019
Jake Kleinman. Results for:.A second Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character may have been leaked recently via an anonymous source on the Japanese message board 5channel. Historically one of the least reliable sources for rumors, this specific 5channel leak has just grown much more trustworthy after an entirely separate leak was confirmed early Saturday morning. However, before breaking the rumor down, here's the rumored second Super Smash Bros. On December 10, an anonymous 5channel poster claiming to have insider Super Smash Bros.
Next was that Joker's map would be "Mementos" and would feature a Jack Frost appearance. The leaker goes to on say that Joker's inclusion is due to Atlus marketing two upcoming games, P5R and P5Ua Persona 5 complete edition for Switch and a new fighting game, respectively.
P5R is planned forwhile—and here's the important part— P5U has been delayed due to Arc System Works instead prioritizing a Granblue fighting game. Since nothing beyond Joker's announcement at The Game Awards is confirmed from these notes, it'd be easy to dismiss these rumors as falsehoods. The 5channel poster's second comment is where they leaked Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 's next DLC character.
Here's the full comment, for authenticity's sake:. As many might agree, Erdrick is one of, if not the most well-known character from the Dragon Quest franchise. The original three Dragon Quest games were known as "Erdrick Trilogy" as they were mentioned heavily in the first titles and then became the protagonist in the third. Erdrick is also mentioned heavily in Dragon Quest Buildersand likely in its upcoming sequel, Dragon Quest Builders 2too.
Perhaps Square Enix has future plans for more Erdrick-related releases, as well. Suffice it to say, Erdrick makes a lot of sense as a Super Smash Bros. And since Final Fantasy is already featured in Smash Bros. Of course, this 5channel leaker may have just been lucky and was listing assorted rumors in the hopes of some of them coming true.
Of course, there's always a chance that plans change prior to announcement or release. In other words, it's best to continue considering these leaks as rumors until proven otherwise. Super Smash Bros.
